Profile Jean Balfour Jean is an experienced Organisation Consultant who brings energy and passion to her work in Leadership, Team Development and Diversity. Jean established Bailey Balfour Consulting Ltd in 2001. She builds long lasting relationships with clients and believes that relationships are central to organisational success. She uses an appreciative conversational approach to work with individuals, teams and large groups. She is pragmatic about the constraints of organisational life and the paradoxes these bring. Jean’s primary focus and experience is on facilitating events for large and small teams, organisation events and off-sites, and groups of leaders. Jean’s facilitation work takes her in to a wide range of sectors including investment banking, large corporate national and multi-national organizations, professional service organizations, NHS Trusts, Local Government, Social Housing and the charitable sector. Jean has a Masters in Organisation Consulting, completed at Ashridge Business School. She is also a Non-Executive Director of Worthing Homes, a Housing Association. Jean started her career as a primary school teacher. She moved from this into Learning and Development and then into Organisation Development working in Social Housing and the NHS. For three years Jean was Head of Organisation Development and member of the Executive Team for a large NHS Trust which closed two large long stay hospitals and merged twice during this time – great personal experience of change management. Jean is accredited and experienced in the application of the Myers Briggs Type Indicator®, Team Management Systems, Level A & B Psychometric Testing, 16pf personality profile and Firo-B®.
